Goodbye Rue...Three Golden Girls Gone

  1. I always loved the show The Golden Girls. Four funny ladies who also know how to laugh at themselves...It seems so hard to believe that 3 of them are now gone.

Rue was a lady...they all was ladies in all respects of the word.
I watch the Golden Girls about 2/3 times a week on TV Land.

Laughter is a part of life and it a proven fact it makes your heart/soul stay young and it seems to help you live longer also.
So keep going Betty , you said you didn't realize losing Rue would hurt this bad, you will always have her in your heart.

  3. Well PIC. It was a busy day, starting with a hockey game.Sammy was a forward this week and his friend Dan was the goalie.Sammy scored a goal and everyone cheered. He felt good and it made up for him losing the game last week. They went home and Sammy took a much needed shower. Then they headed up to the lake and took Pete's mother too.
I put all my dishes and towels and stuff in the boat and stocked the fridge. We will pull the boat there tomorrow. It's a big boat but we have a truck to pull it.
Pete will help us get it into the water and then we'll take everyone for a ride.Pete is going to grill a big meal.
What are you doing this weekend. Is your weather nice? Have fun....See you later...PIC

  7. Hi PIC, Sunday: Had a glorious day, sunshine, water, games with the kids, lots of laughs. We had a ride all around the lake. It was a bit choppy and P was driving and he went pretty fast so it was exciting. For a big boat, it goes quite fast.
It's much too big to keep hauling out of the water; we take it up there and leave it there. It will stay there till the end of September/early October. We usually have it in the water at the beginning of May but Brian was not well enough to work on it then.

Phil has a small boat;sometimes he takes it up there and then with the two boats we can take a large group of family to our favorite swimming place and we have a ball. We used to keep a speed boat and a large pontoon boat up there but it got too expensive to keep two boats docked there. So we bought one big one with a nice cabin to go inside out of the rain and make whoopee.Unfortunately the cabin is usually taken over by the twins playing video games or they drag us in there to play cards with them.We have lovely summers up here. chat later Toots...PIC
