He is a Bijon Frise,a cousin of the poodle with short legs,long tail and big eyes.The breed is very popular in canada,Tough and hardy,like us.Very friendly.I could have sent you one of his puppies Nee,but he was recently neutered.
Beauty salon, CUPCAKE....that is gross! A REAL dog needs to get dirty from time to time, have some fleas and hunt birds. It is not a fashion accessoire! Really!
well I just want him to be handsome in case he meet a pretty girl dog,he is a house dog,don't need the fleas,hell I get to scratching ,my man will think I am in heat..(giggles)
The vet will give you some pills.You give him one every month in the warm weather and he won't get fleas or heartworms or ticks. Bijons love the water and don't mind being bathed.Ours is a house dog most of the time.
Just look up dog grooming salons.There will be a bunch in a big city like yours. I love the idea of your getting a Bijon.They are great with kids.But,they are independant thinkers.
For the Teutonic in me a dog does belong outside - on the fields, woods. No real dog is a housedog. We had a Dachshund. A lots of spunk and personality. She would have rather died than being bathed and shampooed. She even loved to roll in cow-excrements once in a while. Gross? Maybe but that was her nature.
BTW Jeannie....after the cold of the night I am enjoying balmy 70 degrees and a clear blue sky. LOL
